Alexandria, VA, March 29, 2017 – Vision Technologies Systems, Inc. (VT Systems), the US Headquarters of ST Engineering, announced
today that retired Gen. James F. “Jim” Amos will join its board of directors, effective 1 April, 2017.
Amos, a retired four-star general of the United States Marine Corps (USMC), served as the 35th Commandant of the Marine Corps and retired on December 1, 2014 after 42 years of active service. Amos commanded the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing as a Naval Aviator during the Iraq War in 2003 and 2004, and served as the 31st Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps. He is the first Marine Corps aviator to serve as commandant. Following his retirement from the USMC, Amos joined the board of directors of the Lord Corporation, a technology and innovation company, where he currently serves as chairman of the board. He also currently serves as chairman of the board of the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, sits as a member of the President/CEO’s Strategic Advisory Group of Huntington Ingalls Shipbuilding Corporation, is President of WindSock LLC, and serves on the Advisory Board for Charlotte Bridge Home, a veteran’s initiative in his hometown of Charlotte, NC.

With this addition to the Board, VT Systems will have six directors including retired Gen. John Coburn. Other directors include Vincent Chong, President & CEO of ST Engineering; Paul ‘Page’ Hoeper, Chairman of Versar, Inc. and a former Assistant Secretary of the Army; Harold Raveche, Founding President of Innovation Strategies, International, LLC; and, Michael W. Wynne, former 21st Secretary of the Air Force.
