Kinetics Drive Solutions, Inc. (KDS), formerly called Silvatech, was established in 1991 as an advanced transmission and vehicle drive systems company with unique technologies in Infinitely Variable Transmission (IVT) systems.

KDS has the capability to design and develop a wide range of line components.  It also has the capability to develop specialized instruments, control systems, test apparatus and data acquisition systems for complete system implementation.

KDS's drive systems have significant advantages over the conventional mechanical systems by delivering increased traction, speed, efficiency and fuel economy, while reducing failure rates and ownership cost.

The HMX series of advanced cross-drive hydro-mechanical IVT has undergone rigorous tests including continuous cross-country tests of more than 1,000 miles.

Custom Truck Bodies and Trailers

Hackney builds custom delivery vehicles for service around the world.  To better serve its customers Hackney focuses on details such as dimensions, options, fit to chassis, paint, decal and delivery coordination.  To monitor this process, a computerized order tracking system was installed, to check the status of an order at any given moment.

Kidron is an active partner with the truck transportation industry, committed to designing and manufacturing truck bodies and trailers.  As part of its "partnership" with food service, leasing and dairy companies, Kidron is proud of its record for introducing legendary advantages like rugged monocoque construction, its custom foamed-in-place non-CFC insulation, Pressure Pillow Seal doors, adjustable compartments and a wide range of labor and cost-saving options.  Kidron has grown into a North American leader in the production of both refrigerated and dry freight distribution products that draw upon its long-time success at engineering and manufacturing transport equipment.  Kidron's trailers and truck bodies are known for delivering exceptional strength and long service life.

Emergency Vehicles

Hackney's innovative solutions have changed the way the fire service thinks about fire rescue and haz-mat related vehicles.  This is why Hackney Emergency Vehicle division is the leading producer of these types of apparatus.

Its ability to customize vehicles to clients' specifications allows for a rescue for extrication, breathing air, flood lighting, incident command or a combination thereof in one vehicle.

Numerous technologies originate from Hackney and remain to set the standards in the industry. Hackney manufactures in excess of 25,000 roll-up doors each year and was the originator of roll-up technology for truck bodies in the United States. The Hackney unique "H-Drop" frame is 2.8 times stronger than factory specifications. Hackney has specialized in this type of frame modification for over 40 years.

Metal Products

The Kidron Metal Products Division specializes in custom manufactured cabs, operator compartments as well as specialty fabricated assemblies and components. Kidron continues to be a leader in innovative design, while maintaining our excellent tradition for quality and durability. Engineered with advanced design software to assist customers in the determination of final design features.  Produced with "state-of-the-art" manufacturing equipment to deliver a high quality out put and reduced manufacturing costs.

Road Construction and Maintenance Equipment

VT LeeBoy is the industry leader in self-propelled commercial asphalt pavers. From the entry level 700B and 1000D tilt-hopper pavers to the innovative 8515 conveyor paver, LeeBoy pavers are designed with the paving professional in mind. The newly introduced LeeBoy 8816 conveyor paver extends that innovation to a 25,000 pound production class paver that is affordable and versatile. All LeeBoy pavers feature the Legend Screed System famous for producing seamless mats up to 15 feet in width. LeeBoy 8500 series pavers feature the durability, reliability and productivity that make them ideal for commercial and mainline paving applications.

The LeeBoy 785, 685B or 635 motor graders deliver a versatile workhorse featuring operator comfort, control ease, productivity and trouble-free operation while building a road, cutting a ditch, site work or fine grading.

VT LeeBoy has greatly enhanced the design of the versatile LeeBoy 3000 Force Feed Loader to excel at continuous high-capacity material.  This piece of equipment is designed as a year-round workhorse, picking up snow, soil, milling and other windrowed materials for fast, low-cost material loading. 

Ruggedized Military Computer Equipment

Throughout its history, VT Miltope has invested heavily in independent research and development. VT Miltope's IR&D design efforts have resulted in numerous DoD contracts, including more than 30,000 rugged computers, disks and other peripherals for the U.S. Army, including more than 12,000 TSC-750/750M rugged computers for MSD (Maintenance Support Device) the standard diagnosis and repair tool for weapon systems and vehicles, AMPS (Aviation Mission Planning System), A2C2S (Army Airborne Command and Control System), BFT-A (Blue Force Tracking-Aviation), and many other systems, as well as more than 8,000 VT Miltope PCU-5100 rugged computer systems for the Soldier's Portable On-System Repair Tool (SPORT) Program.

VT Miltope's most recent entry in the ruggedized product arena is the TSC-750M, the most versatile and compact rugged-militarized laptop computer available. The TSC-750M features new Intel Centrino Mobile Technology and is powered by the new Intel® Pentium® M Processor. The TSC-750M has been successfully qualified to MIL-STD-810/461/464. Not only is it tough, the 750M delivers the fastest 3-D graphics with its ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000 video accelerator, dramatically enhancing all aspects of the visual experience in every application.

VT Miltope's rugged hardware, combined with extensive experience in integration, operating systems, communications and custom applications, provides complete system solutions to meet computing display, storage, and distribution needs in any environment. From its Wireless Access Service Point (WASP) to the new TSC-750M, VT Miltope provides solutions that work under the toughest conditions on the planet.
