Marine Overview

The VTS Marine Division is a turnkey shipbuilding operation with add-on ship repair and conversion services. Through VT Halter Marine, VTS builds, repairs, and converts surveillance and research ships, defense and coastal protection craft, logistic support vessels, vehicle and passenger ferries, and high speed interdiction craft.  

VT Halter Marine provides high engineering content ship repair services, including hull repair, weapons upgrade and midlife refits for naval vessels. Its expertise also covers conversion and modification work for a wide spectrum of technically advanced commercial vessels up to Panamax size.

In addition to shipbuilding and repair, systems integration and support services, VT Halter Marine's designs can be tailored to accommodate advanced weapons and electronic systems. The commercial section focuses on highly customized vessel designs, which include ocean-going cruise ships, tugs, ferries and container ships, for a worldwide clientele.
